2024 Toes in the Cove
Dream longboarding conditions graced the Queen of the coast for the 2nd annual Cole Robbins Realty, Toes In The Cove, Rincon Longboard Classic presented by Body Glove. The event was produced by Surf Happens who have spear headed the Rincon Classic for the last 24 years.
Held on Saturday November 9th the event was blessed with 78 degree weather, not a drop of wind from dawn until dusk, and an increasing long period swell offering waist to chest high pristine conditions that were enjoyed by all from the 17 and under youth divisions to the 65 and up Legends.
Highlights of the event included the Beach House Expression Session featuring icons of the sport riding on vintage single fin longboards from the 60's for a 30 minute Free Style Jam which included 3 time world Champion Soleil Erico, style icon Kassia Meador, Cole Robbins perennial Rincon Classic and world tour competitor, former WSL world number 4 in shortboarding Conner Coffin, renowned film maker Jason Baffa, music and surfing legend Deny Aberg, local wood work master John Birchim and event director Chris Keet… read more

Rincon Cove is a world-class longboard wave unique to the Central Coast of California. Know as the “Queen of the Coast”, Rincon provides peeling longboard waves 80% of the surfable days and is beyond deserving of its own celebration.
The 2024 Toes in the Cove Rincon Longboard Classic will be held in the cove of Rincon Point on either Saturday, Oct. 26th, Nov. 2nd, 9th, or 16th from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. The call will be made the Wednesday before and posted to toesinthecove.com. Free public parking is available and bathrooms are on site.
2023 Toes In The Cove
The first annual toes in the cove, rincon longboard classic was graced with sunny skies, 75 degree weather, and classic, glassy 2-3 long board waves. Many of the areas top long board enthusiasts converged on rincon point, the queen of the coast on Saturday November 11th for friendly competition and to celebrate the community and heritage of long boarding at Rincon.
The locals only, all ages event, featured surfers as young as 10, and as old as 78, male and female. Incredible performances were put forth in all divisions with more combined nose riding time in one day, than over a whole winter. Fancy footwork, style, board control, positioning and wave selection were all judging factors. The beginning of a classic community tradition.
